Which one is better for group meetings?
Doodle, clearly. Group polls are what it was built for and the interaction is more refined: participants see all candidate times at once, vote yes, no or maybe, and the organizer reads a tally. Calendly's meeting polls work, but they are a secondary feature and they are not on the free plan.
Which one is better for one-to-one booking?
Calendly, by a wide margin. Booking is the product rather than an addition, and the surrounding machinery reflects that: routing forms, round robin distribution across a team, workflow automation, buffers, and a large integration surface. Doodle's booking pages are competent, not deep.
What if I only run group polls a few times a year?
Then neither subscription earns its money. Doodle's free tier gives you one poll and shows ads to your invitees; Calendly's free tier gives you no polls at all. That is the niche free tools still own.
